Grandpa Would Give Us the Last Message

April 2nd, 2017 was the day my sister and I visited my sister Spiritualist church, Golden Gate Spiritualist Church in San Francisco, California. The church looks like an old Victorian house in an area of Frisco that seems unlikely to house a church. I should have taken pictures inside of the church but did not for respect of the church. The inside was BEAUTIFUL. Spirit paintings filled up the walls of the church up and down stairs. Spirit Paintings are created during a seance. Spirit creates the image, it’s amazing because it occurs while the picture is covered. There is never any evidence of brush strokes, just a clear picture mostly of Spirit Guides from the founder, Reverend Florence Becker.

The beginning of any Spiritualist church starts off with a healing service. This service was performed in a room adjacent to the main room and it was filled with so much loving energy.  After the healing service a short sermon was presented from the Reverend and a pianist played soft background and hymnal music. This day a guest Spiritualist medium from Great Britain, Pauline Mason, serviced the church and presented spirit greetings (short spiritual messages).

I was drawn to come this particular day but couldn’t really tell you why. I was hoping to hear from my Grandmother but instead we heard from her other half. Pauline had stated that she was finishing up the last of her messages when she said a Spirit was coming through and identified itself as being someone who used crutches in their life. My sister and I raised both of our hands up realizing that it was our Grandfather who was coming in. He was physically disabled his entire life but he never let it stop him. He was a prideful man which is another characteristic that she brought up of his Spirit. The overall message that he wanted to convey was that he wanted to thank us for helping him in his later years and that he was still with us, guiding us down the right path in our journeys. It brought major comfort and validation that we were meant to be at this particular service.

If you’re in the Bay Area of California or not far from it I highly suggest you visit the Golden Gate Spiritualist Church . I am almost done with my certification process in gaining the title of a certified Spiritualist medium; another post for another time, but if interested I will be posting about the process soon.

How it feels to be touched by Spirit

This past Sunday I went to church for our “All message and healing service”. I usually go and work as a student medium, assisting the Pastor with giving those in the congregation a spirit greeting (short message). This service, will be be the one service I will never forget.

If you follow me then you would know that the greatest love of my life, my grandmother, made her transition three months ago. The experience changed me, it made me confident enough to go forward with my efforts of giving readings and counseling sessions. Well, we had a guest medium, by the name of Tom Flynn, a British medium who was visiting our church. It just seemed like every message he gave to someone was a message from “Babe” indirectly. He “inadvertently” made his way to me.

He first asked me to confirm physical characteristics which I knew was already my Babe. Throughout the reading I began to cry almost uncontrollably because I miss her and…. I thought she would’ve come to me by now. About 2 weeks before she transitioned, before we knew we would be leaving us I had asked her to come and visit me…. I’m still waiting…

Then he told me that my Grandmother wanted to hold my hand and to hold it out in front of me. I did as instructed and waited. He told me a few seconds later that she would be holding my hand and that I should feel a coldness in the center of my palm, immediately after he said that I felt the chill in the center of my left hand which was opened. That’s when the tears really started fallin down. I feel like I’ve lost a soulmate, that’s how deep my love for her is. I’m not lost trying to find her and I do feel her and hear her sometimes…. I loved to hold her hand so it’s not that strange that she wanted to hold my hand that day. Her touch was and still is everything to me… there just isn’t another type of love to compare to the kinda love I have for her.

If you have experienced a feeling like I’ve described please comment below, I would love to hear about it! Also, if you LOOOVVEEE the photo down below please click on it and it will take you to AMBER’S page! I felt that it was so fitting for this post! Thank you for allowing me to share this with you. I love you.

Combining Spiritualism & Metaphysics for Counseling and Healing

Throughout my life I always felt different and separated from the mainstream of society. I never conformed because it just never felt like it was something for me to do. When I was 23 year young I came across a Spiritualist church in the Sacramento area. I didn’t know what to expect but was open to the new experience. From the moment I stepped in the service I found a home I had been searching for. After a few months of attending I decided to join the church and began taking Mediumship courses under the Morris Pratt Institute educational courses. My goal was and is still to possess a certificate in Mediumship. Since I am a life learner certificates, diplomas, and degrees are always worthwhile to pursue. This course is not easy. I’ll talk about this process in another blog, I’m getting side tracked as I often do…. but yes, Spiritualists hold strong to their beliefs and do not believe in engaging in any other source than from Spirit for spiritual guidance. That means no tarot/oracle card readings, no palm readings, or astrological readings, because they DO NOT CONSTITUTE THE EXISTENCE OF LIFE AFTER DEATH. I can dig that.

A Spiritualist as defined by the National Spiritualist Association of Churches (NSAC) Spiritualism Defined as

“one who believes, as the basis of his or her religion, in the communication between this and the Spirit World by means of mediumship and who endeavors to mould his or her character and conduct in accordance with the highest teachings derived from such communication”.

This is what I believe, but it is not all that I accept as my truth. See, I never want to be set in one particular area because they’re so much more to learn. So much more to learn that I’m always hoping to learn truth that I feel resonates with my higher self. I didn’t have to search for too long before I was introduced to the subject of Metaphysics.

Metaphysics as defined by the University of Metaphysics (which I am a student of) states

“The word Metaphysics comes to us from Ancient Greece, a combination of two words: Meta meaning over or beyond and physics meaning the physical, material world.  Thus, the combination refers to such concerns that are beyond or transcend the material world. In the common way of speaking, such questions are considered religious, spiritual, or possibly philosophical, depending on the person asking them.Metaphysics contributes a fundamental level of understanding derived from experience and advanced intuitive knowing on how things “really are.” However, when considered from the spiritual perspective, Metaphysics is not only the pursuit of Truth; it also offers service to the greater good of humankind.”

Metaphysics on the contrary supports other instrumental tools for spirit communication because of the philosophy behind the instruments being used. Instruments as earlier described, palm reading, tarot/oracle reading, and etc.

So how can these two be combined to service others one might ask? Both constitute and demonstrate spiritual perspectives in how they serve others, yet one is more stringent than the other and neither one is better than the next it just really depends on the community and what the needs are in terms of spiritual needs. Like I said before, I need to have options and knowledge galore. I love both concepts and plan to incorporate both when I enter into the world of mental health counseling after graduation  some day in the future. I can see it happening, it will happen! That is called affirmative thinking, a metaphysical concept!

Faux Locs & Mediumship

I needed a change so I decided to do the style of faux dreads/ locs. It took me 8 hrs after an 8 day at work and I LOVE it minus the new experienced heaviness on my head and neck. It’s the look of total freedom without the total commitment to change, at least on the physical level.

Mediumship

I’ve been practicin, I’ve been practicin to let go of my logic and allow Spirit in. It takes time and patience has ever been my virtue but as I’m learning, time is everything and everything has its own time. I was in church yesterday and I had come in late so I sat in the back not wanting to directly disrupt service. I sat down and did a quick mediation to ground myself and to invite my guides in to help with delivering messages. I suddenly started feeling a throbbing on the left side of my head. I suffer from migraines but they are always on my right side so I knew immediately I was picking up energy from somewhere/ someone else I just needed to find out from whom. I focused and allowed myself to let Spirit in. Not too long after this my Reverend asked if I had received anything and it was my time to let Spirit work.

She sat in the front row, wearing all black, with a pixie style haircut, and she wore a turquoise crystal around her neck. I asked her name and then asked if she experienced migraines, she said no, and then I knew…. I asked if she saw auras (a common side effect of migraines) and if she saw Spirit. She readily admitted that she had seen Spirit, all of her life actually but had not ever received training or development on it. Spirit informed me to tell her to begin her spiritual journey so that she too can aid others. It was an amazing experience to say the very least. It’s astonishing to see what can happen when you stand out from your own restrictions and allow Spirit to work!

Hearing the Voice

It’s been a long time since I’ve last heard my name being called out to me. It startles me for sure but it never scares me…. it happened again today. I was on lunch on a short walk due to the heat and I hear a masculine voice call out my name as though his hands were circled around his mouth, “AMMMMBBEERR”. I stopped and turned around thinking it was a friend/co-worker messing with me but when I turned around no one was there. I heard it again and then again for a third time. I knew then that it was Spirit but I don’t know who it was. It was not a voice I’ve ever heard  before, perhaps it’s a new guide, or a guide I’ve already had but have not been acquainted with yet. Some may read this and think I’m short a few screws or that I may be lying, but I’m learning to walk within my own truth. Those who understand will know and others will scrutinize and judge. That’s ok, we all have our moments of truth.. This is my truth…. My soul discovering journey, my development in becoming an intuitive counselor.

How to Manifest Your Dreams

I’ve been working with manifestations for a long time now, we all have, yet we wouldn’t necessarily call it manifestations. Many would call it an answer to their prayers, but I encourage you to look a bit more deeper and give yourself some credit. The Law of Attraction tells us that we attract what we emit, metaphysically and spiritually speaking. Continue reading the following and you too can understand and realize how to manifest your own dreams:

What is it that you really want?

Ambiguous, right? Yeah I know, there’s so many things in life we really want to do so it can be difficult to chose just one thing but you must. Deciding what you want is the first step in manifesting your dreams because it sets a specific desire and intention. I’m writing this as I’m needing to be reminded… so what it is that I want?

image

Being of service to others, spiritually, metaphysically, and theoretically as a future Mental Health Counselor and Spiritual Counselor, that’s what I want. I’ve been gifted with spiritual talents so that I can be of assistance to others who are lost, hopeless, and those who just need someone to believe in them. This is my life and soul mission, so how do I get there?

image

I’ve taken courses in mediumship through my church’s organization, which has been a very lengthy and informative process. Spiritualists require strict coursework, guidelines, and verifiable experiences in order to become accredited within the organization as a medium who serves within the NSAC (National Spiritualist Association of Churches). I also take metaphysical courses in specializing in Metaphysical Counseling with the University of Metaphysics, not to mention my grad school coursework of Mental Health Counseling. The message here is if you decide to reach out to someone who claims they are a spiritual advisor or counselor who claims they can read your future be weary. Ask to see credentials, it’s ok.

image

So here I am hoping intending to meet like minded individuals who are willing to help me along my path so that I can help others on their path too.

Believe you have what you want and live the life you want. Manifest and create.

I am a Spiritualist… ok but what does that mean?

I can’t seem to focus today and this topic has been weighing having on my spirit so I guess it’s time to enlighten. Spiritualism is not a new concept but it isn’t as ancient as the main religions in today’s world. As I child I would see, feel, and hear things that scared me. I didn’t know what or why I was experiencing what I was and I hated it! It wasn’t until a week before the passing of my Grandfather that I learned to accept the “scariness” and learn from it.

Spiritualism is a religion, philosophy, and science that involves the realm of spirit. What does that even mean you may ask? You, and everyone who reads this is a form of spirit. We are pure energy and when the physical body disintegrates the energy of the spirit is transformed into another form of itself. In the astonishing words of Albert Einstein, “Energy can neither be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another“. If we open our minds and think in terms of open-mindedness and spiritual reality, we realize this is true. So if this is true then what…..???

Spirits are always around us, we live in parallel existences to one another. Since we are spiritual beings having a human experience, we all have the innate ability to experience spiritual phenomena, however the mind often will interfere and rationalize things. Have you ever felt like you were being watched but turn around to find no one there, or felt the coldness upon entering a room for no particular reason, or even dreamed about a loved one who has since passed over into spirit? If so, congratulations you have experienced spiritual phenomena, energetically. I feel Spirit often and until I really understood what was going on I suffered from great anxiety because I didn’t understand. After the passing of my Grandfather I decided to find people who were like me, that’s when I found Spiritualism.

I understood the concepts, I understood the phenomena, I finally felt I made it “home”. If I were asked, well do you believe in God, the answer would be, well what is your definition of God? If we are taught that we are the children of God, of Spirit, then we must too be God and of Spirit. Would that satisfy your question?

I now live my life to emulate myself spiritually. I’m not perfect because no human being is but I aim to show instead of tell how spiritually grounded I am. I’m the young hippie always talking about energies, feelings, dreams, and auras to sum up my main topics of conversation. I even take metaphysical courses to broaden my awareness along with study other religions. If you happen to stumble across this blog and have more questions or positive comments please feel free to drop me a line or few. 🙂
