If I’m Gonna Be Trained for Reiki I Better Know How It Feels First… Right?

It felt amazing. I had my first healing session of Reiki today and I have to admit I did not anticipate on feeling so tired afterwards, honestly. So before I tell you the after effects let me tell you the story first.

I am training as a counselor here in Sacramento, CA and the site that I’m with, my supervisor happens to be a Reiki Master. This is a fact that I have recently just found out, but it’s another colleague of mine who performed reiki today. She rents a room in the office to perform Reiki for clients (outside of the mental health counseling field). I asked for a session since she will also be training me as well. She is a Reiki Master too. It’s so interesting that this is the route I’m going now, because it appears it’s what’s surrounding me right now. Ok ok, now the session…

I had an hour session. She asked what areas I wanted more attention on and I told her to focus more on my throat and sacral areas. I asked for my ancestors, loved ones, and Guardian Angels to come in and assist as well. I started to feel the energy as soon as she started. Once she made it to my lower chakras I immediately felt the strong urge to urinate, as if I had been holding it forever so we took a break and I ran to the bathroom to relieve my bladder and the released energy my body was no longer holding onto. I went back into the room and when we started up again, I felt a strong chill from the top of my head straight down to the bottom of my feet, multiple times. Following this sensation I felt the presence of other healers working on me as well, I felt that they were ancestral, but that was all the information I received. I didn’t question it, I just accepted the flow and everything that was happening within and beside me. I also had a flashback to a past life of when I was in Ancient Egypt. I was looking up at a wall made out of gold. I did not see any hieroglyphics but it felt familiar and then I was back in the present moment. When she was done with the healing she informed me that she too picked up some past life stuff relating to my sacral chakra and felt the energy of my ancestors as well during the healing session.

As I said before, this was an amazing experience. Which leads me to my previous question, how am I going to be trained for energy healing if I’ve never experienced it, that’s not honest, in my eyes. I am so excited and on board with this journey that I’m embarking upon consistently. I have started my E-book, The 5 Keys to Becoming Spiritually Confident, so please be on the lookout for it very soon!

Lightworker Struggles

Hey everyone! I’ve been busy with grad school, looking for a new/more beneficial job, while working on my Free Spirit services. I can’t say life is boring that’s for sure.

Recently I went on a hike, a spiritual hike with fellow lightworkers and had a profound experience. I’m too catch up in the 3D world and need to refocus my attention to my spiritual development. Now that I’m on a short break with school, I have more time focus and learn how to fully incorporate my spiritual and physical needs into one.

I’m in the works of creating a YouTube channel about spirituality, spiritual experiences, and discuss spiritual counseling using psychothereupetic approaches.

For my favorite bloggers I’ll be catching up with you soon! Love and light to you!

What is a Spiritual Counselor? Yeah what is it that I do?

What is a Spiritual Counselor, one might ask, well it’s an individual who integratates psychothereupetic approaches along with implementing Spirit through the use of clairvoyance, clairaudience, and/or clairsentience.
I invite my Spirit Guides to provide me with information my client needs to know in combination with the many different psychothereupetic approaches I implement with my clients.

I am a Master’s program for Mental Health Counseling and possess the knowledge and capability of performing such services.

I live in Sacramento, CA.

Transitioning and Manifesting, They Kinda Go Together

I actually made it through this last period of Mercury Retrograde which ended May 4th! During this transitional time I moved in with the love of my life which was a decision made prior to the Mercury Retrograde, participated in an interview that I feel will change my working environment, AND I started my counseling internship!!!!

The move was stressful as most moves are but once I became settled in everything that was negative is now positive, with everything falling into place! I’ve been praying about the negative energy at work and send loving energy to my co-workers and the clients, in addition to perform soul communication with those who are struggling at work. It seems as though when one person struggles, they want everyone else to suffer too. Ahhh but not I, no longer! Soul communication is done when you speak directly to another person’s soul. I normally say the following, “Dear soul of_______ I love, honor, and respect you. I ask for___________. I ask that you receive in this love and light. I also have been praying for Archangel Michael to come in and protect my Spirit from picking up negative energy and psychic attacks. Each day becomes easier to endure, at work, but I am already thankful for the new position I will be accepting soon. I feel it and I know a new position is coming for me.

Lastly, I saw my first client as a counselor in training!!!! I am in the last section of my Master’s program of Mental Health Counseling and I was given a referral to a non-profit private practice and was accepted there to complete my internship and Master’s program! I love it because I’m being taught how to build and maintain a private practice which is what I want. I  ultimately  want to do spiritual counseling and this experience with the non-profit will teach me everything I need to pursue my goals of operating a private practice!

Mediate, pray, be thankful, and share love; these are the characteristics for success. Life changes for opportunities to grow, remember this always.

Clearing out Energy and Dealing with Borderline Personality Disorder

It’s been a while since I’ve last posted anything and to be honest I’ve been sick and dealing with a personal crisis. Yes, even the optimist struggles from time to time. I’m feeling better now and things  have calmed down as I’ve worked through the struggles. Therapy helps too especially when learning how to deal with someone who has Borderline Personality Disorder at work. It’s not a psychotic issue it’s behavioral which is something I’ve never encountered before. It was extremely stressful working with a client with this disorder because it’s new, but just because it’s new and difficult does not mean I was gonna give up. I couldn’t give up, I chose to understand and talk to my supervisor and therapist about it. After all, I am in school so that I’ll be able to work for and advocate for the mental health community. Seriously, support and self-care are both essential for working in the mental health field.

As far as my sickness…. it was directed in my throat which a good friend reminded me, of the Throat Chakra and the ascension that’s occurring now on Earth. Clearing energy to open up for new energy to come in and continuing helping me speak my truth and the truth Spirit has for me to speak.

That’s all I got for now……. oh yeah my 28th year of life is on Thursday the 26th, too bad I’ll be working a 12 hour shift… yeah that’s overtime! Farewell for now…. always continue to love and live in the light!

Combining Spiritualism & Metaphysics for Counseling and Healing

Throughout my life I always felt different and separated from the mainstream of society. I never conformed because it just never felt like it was something for me to do. When I was 23 year young I came across a Spiritualist church in the Sacramento area. I didn’t know what to expect but was open to the new experience. From the moment I stepped in the service I found a home I had been searching for. After a few months of attending I decided to join the church and began taking Mediumship courses under the Morris Pratt Institute educational courses. My goal was and is still to possess a certificate in Mediumship. Since I am a life learner certificates, diplomas, and degrees are always worthwhile to pursue. This course is not easy. I’ll talk about this process in another blog, I’m getting side tracked as I often do…. but yes, Spiritualists hold strong to their beliefs and do not believe in engaging in any other source than from Spirit for spiritual guidance. That means no tarot/oracle card readings, no palm readings, or astrological readings, because they DO NOT CONSTITUTE THE EXISTENCE OF LIFE AFTER DEATH. I can dig that.

A Spiritualist as defined by the National Spiritualist Association of Churches (NSAC) Spiritualism Defined as

“one who believes, as the basis of his or her religion, in the communication between this and the Spirit World by means of mediumship and who endeavors to mould his or her character and conduct in accordance with the highest teachings derived from such communication”.

This is what I believe, but it is not all that I accept as my truth. See, I never want to be set in one particular area because they’re so much more to learn. So much more to learn that I’m always hoping to learn truth that I feel resonates with my higher self. I didn’t have to search for too long before I was introduced to the subject of Metaphysics.

Metaphysics as defined by the University of Metaphysics (which I am a student of) states

“The word Metaphysics comes to us from Ancient Greece, a combination of two words: Meta meaning over or beyond and physics meaning the physical, material world.  Thus, the combination refers to such concerns that are beyond or transcend the material world. In the common way of speaking, such questions are considered religious, spiritual, or possibly philosophical, depending on the person asking them.Metaphysics contributes a fundamental level of understanding derived from experience and advanced intuitive knowing on how things “really are.” However, when considered from the spiritual perspective, Metaphysics is not only the pursuit of Truth; it also offers service to the greater good of humankind.”

Metaphysics on the contrary supports other instrumental tools for spirit communication because of the philosophy behind the instruments being used. Instruments as earlier described, palm reading, tarot/oracle reading, and etc.

So how can these two be combined to service others one might ask? Both constitute and demonstrate spiritual perspectives in how they serve others, yet one is more stringent than the other and neither one is better than the next it just really depends on the community and what the needs are in terms of spiritual needs. Like I said before, I need to have options and knowledge galore. I love both concepts and plan to incorporate both when I enter into the world of mental health counseling after graduation  some day in the future. I can see it happening, it will happen! That is called affirmative thinking, a metaphysical concept!

How to Manifest Your Dreams

I’ve been working with manifestations for a long time now, we all have, yet we wouldn’t necessarily call it manifestations. Many would call it an answer to their prayers, but I encourage you to look a bit more deeper and give yourself some credit. The Law of Attraction tells us that we attract what we emit, metaphysically and spiritually speaking. Continue reading the following and you too can understand and realize how to manifest your own dreams:

What is it that you really want?

Ambiguous, right? Yeah I know, there’s so many things in life we really want to do so it can be difficult to chose just one thing but you must. Deciding what you want is the first step in manifesting your dreams because it sets a specific desire and intention. I’m writing this as I’m needing to be reminded… so what it is that I want?

image

Being of service to others, spiritually, metaphysically, and theoretically as a future Mental Health Counselor and Spiritual Counselor, that’s what I want. I’ve been gifted with spiritual talents so that I can be of assistance to others who are lost, hopeless, and those who just need someone to believe in them. This is my life and soul mission, so how do I get there?

image

I’ve taken courses in mediumship through my church’s organization, which has been a very lengthy and informative process. Spiritualists require strict coursework, guidelines, and verifiable experiences in order to become accredited within the organization as a medium who serves within the NSAC (National Spiritualist Association of Churches). I also take metaphysical courses in specializing in Metaphysical Counseling with the University of Metaphysics, not to mention my grad school coursework of Mental Health Counseling. The message here is if you decide to reach out to someone who claims they are a spiritual advisor or counselor who claims they can read your future be weary. Ask to see credentials, it’s ok.

So here I am hoping intending to meet like minded individuals who are willing to help me along my path so that I can help others on their path too.

Believe you have what you want and live the life you want. Manifest and create.
